Wize Pharmacy
WIZE Pharmacy began in 2011 by Dr. Nwando Nwanna. Wize Pharmacy is located in beautiful Downtown Dunedin and has been there for the past 5 years.
WIZE Pharmacy is unlike big pharmacies in that your service is personal. You will receive personalized service and will always see or speak with Dr. Nwanna for your pharmacy questions. Dr. Nwanna and her team know their customers by name. As with the big pharmacies, WIZE Pharmacy can provide all of the same services when it comes to prescriptions.
We accept most insurance plans including Medicare and Medicaid. And we are quite competitive for those who don’t have insurance. Our lower overhead than those big box pharmacies, allows us to offer the same prescription medication at lower prices.
Dr. Nwando Nwanna (PharmD), Rph
I graduated from University of Florida, Gainesville with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1998. I worked as a clinical pharmacist in various hospitals in the Tampa bay area for 10 years including Bayfront Medical Center in St Pete, Community Hospital New Port Richey, and Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater. I decided to transition into Community retail pharmacy because I enjoy interacting with people and offering a personal service to them.
I started WIZE pharmacy in 2011 and was joined By Robert Elliott Rph in 2013. Together we have been providing comprehensive compassion convenient pharmacy services to our customers. Bob is a people person just like me and we enjoy helping people navigate the healthcare system to obtain their prescriptions.
In 2015 I started WIZE Nutrition Therapy to help people support their health with nutrition and other natural healing modalities. I went into pharmacy because my passion is to help people achieve the best health possible. Over the years it became obvious to me that drugs are not always enough to help people get well, so I added nutrition services to help people achieve optimum health.
At WIZE Pharmacy, we make the process of obtaining prescription drug therapy easy in a friendly environment. We help our clients obtain refills from their doctors and obtain prior authorization from their insurance and offer delivery service to those who are unable to come to the pharmacy.
Robert Elliott
I was born and raised in Long Island, New York. At 14 years of age, I had my first job as a delivery boy for our corner drug store. It was then that I decided to make pharmacy my career.
I received my Bachelor of Science pharmacy degree from St John’s University in Jamaica, New York. I moved to Florida in 1972. That same year I got a staff pharmacist position at SuperX pharmacy in Dunedin.
I’ve worked at various chain and independent pharmacies over the years. The best part of being a pharmacist is to help each person as an individual with their medications. If I make one person smile, then I have done my job!
